Characters
Here you will find my contributions to the creation and development of the characters from my final year student film Good Gully. During the production process I took a leading role in designing and modelling the characters for our film. My contributions included the creation of Mr Gulliver Bell, Todd and Larry (The Gullies), as well as our friendly but dangerous shark Fenton.
Also, as Lead Texture Artist, I was responsible for the texturing the entirety of the project, which included the majority of the characters.

Mr. Gulliver Bell
Mr Gulliver Bell is a character in our film that the story revolves around. In the production process, we discussed that this stock character should represent a stereotypical local of a seaside town.
Designed by our Director Calum Avery and Character Designer Jada Catherine, a concept was created that the whole team were happy with. It was then my responsibility to take this concept and develop into a complete 3D model and texture it. I'm most proud of Gulliver's working 'flip up' glasses!
The outcome of this model is what you see below, and was then used throughout the entirety of the films production process, and can be seen within the final outcome of Good Gully.

The Gullies
Our story features a lovable trio of gullies, that each have their very own unique personalities. With these personalities came their own different character designs which each contribute to selling their own varied personalities.
As Producer and Lead 3D Artist, I found myself responsible with running the creation of these gullies taking on 2 out of the 3 to personally model myself. I had the great fortune of modelling Todd (as shown in first row below) who is an adorable and goofy character, bringing some light comic relief to our story. The second gully I was in charge of modelling was Larry (shown in second row), who is the more cunning and intelligent of the Good Gully trio.

Fenton
The last character I had the opportunity to create was our crazy but delightful shark Fenton. Despite only making a short and surprise appearance at the end of our film, Fenton was a character we as a team had all fallen in love with at the end of the project. Therefore, I wanted to make sure that he too got his moment in the spotlight!
Further Contributions
As previously stated, one of my additional roles of Lead Texture Artist. This meant I was responsible for ensuring the aesthetic 'toon' appeal our director wanted was achieved throughout the project, seeing me personally texture the majority of the characters you will see in the film.
Below you will find Stephanie Seagal concepted by Jada Catherine, then modelled by Pedro Magina. Once this model was completed, it was my responsibility to take said model and texture ready for production.
